Elephant

A game of paper, scissors, stone and double bluff played between two teams with giant inflatables. Get your team inflatable across the city without being spotted and challenged by your opponents.

This game is being run as part of the Hide & Seek Weekender, at London's South Bank Centre.

To play, sign up here and then meet in the Clore Ball Room, the Royal Festival Hall, from 14.30 on Sunday 2nd August.

Players under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

This game is played on public thoroughfares. When playing the game you must take all reasonable care to ensure that you do not put yourself or others at risk of harm, for example (but not limited to) by playing the game in the vicinity of moving vehicles or other hazards. Obey all laws, including all traffic signs and signals and any instructions that may be given to you by law enforcement personnel. Use common sense and have fun!

Two teams take turns to manoeuvre one of their giant inflatable from base to base across the city. Their opposing team attempts to intercept them with an inflatable that overcomes the running team’s choice. If the running team makes the base without being challenged they get a point, they get another if their choice of inflatable beats the choice made by the fielders – just like paper, scissor, stone; however, if the fielding team trounces, the running team are out and the two teams swop roles.

The two teams can use Game Shouts to communicate with each other and to bluff the opposing team. The running team can only make a run once they have declared their choice of inflatable, but they don’t necessarily have to tell the truth.

This game uses Game Shouts - send and receive messages to and from everyone in the game using your mobile phone or device. Choose your Shout channel on sign-up - SMS, Twitter or email - and then do one of the following:

- SMS - send Shouts by texting "Shout nellie" followed by your message to 60300.

- Twitter - Shout by Direct Messaging igelephant (we automatically have you follow the game).
