Play

To play a simons' game you must be registered with the site, the sign up button is only made visible when you are signed in.  Some games are specific to certain shout channels so please ensure you read the game copy before you choose your channel.

To register to a game go to games and choose the game you wish to join. Choose a shout channel specific for that game and click Join Game. You are now in the game. If you wish to change your game specific shout channel you will have to leave and re-join the game (an issue we are working on). Click leave game if you change your mind.

On the day of the game you will receive a game shout telling you what to do.

If you do come and play, please wear comfortable shoes, bring a bit of money and some photo id. You will also need your mobile device to play the games, as described above. Your normal network rates will apply.

Game Shouts

Game Shouts are bits of game information that get sent from the game to players and from players to players.  It is very important that whichever shout channel you choose that you are able to receive shouts sent via it on a mobile device (mobile phone, iphone, blackberry etc). Important game information and game mechanics are distributed via these channels. If you cannot receive shouts during play on the streets, you will find it very difficult to play.

The different shout channel accounts can be accessed from profile->edit profile.

Site Account

To create an account go to Login/register this link can be found below the banner image on every page. The registration page will ask you for some basic information to create your account, once you have signed up then please login.

Begin by completing your profile available at profile>edit profile. Enter your mobile telephone number and select your default game shout channel. You can enter as many as you like but only the one you specify in the Game Shout Channel drop down will be used. Make sure you complete the details for the shout channel you have selected. You will not be able to save the form without them. Once you have completed all relevant fields click save at the bottom of the form.

A bit of legal stuff

When playing simons' games you must take all reasonable care to ensure that you do not put yourself or others at risk of harm, for example (but not limited to) by playing the game in the vicinity of moving vehicles or other hazards. Obey all laws, including all traffic signs and signals and any instructions that may be given to you by law enforcement personnel. Use common sense and have fun!
